Today we’re excited to share some beautiful wedding photography from Jessica + Marc’s Stone Willow Inn wedding in St. Marys!
Jessica + Marc are one of those couples that we would call our dream couples. They’re super friendly, laid back and were happy to let us do our thing. Did we mention how good-looking they are too? Anyway, we love it when couples trust us so much that they let us get creative and experiment, and these two fit the bill perfectly! You might remember them from their Port Dover engagement session earlier this year. We spent an evening on the beach with them and got to know them better, which told us everything we needed to know about their wedding day; it was going to be amazing!
Well, the day finally came. Our friend Tim helped cover as my second shooter for Kara, and he did a killer job along with our video magician Jonathan. By the way; we can’t wait to share the video with you – stay tuned for that! We started by dropping Tim off with the boys, but when I found out that Marc was out flying and that they’d be hanging out in an airplane hangar all morning I was tempted to make Tim go cover the girls! Needless to say, I was a little jealous. Jonathan and I started with the girls as they finished getting ready and then headed to the park for a few pictures before the ceremony.
It was an absolutely perfect day for an outdoor ceremony, and the venue couldn’t have been more incredible. The Stone Willow Inn has a gorgeous outdoor wedding ceremony spot, and the weather was definitely on our side as well. After Jessica + Marc said their emotional I do’s, we headed to downtown St. Marys for some bridal party pictures before stopping at the old Sarnia train bridge for some pictures of the happy couple. The wind had picked up by the time we got up there, but that was just fine with us; it made for some truly epic shots!
The reception was in the tent at the Stone Willow Inn, and it went off without a hitch! Well, maybe with the exception of that one time where a tent flap got caught in the breeze and sent one of our lights crashing to the floor. Fortunately a backup was up within minutes and the rest of the night was amazing! Lots of laughter, dancing and fun… and even one of Marc’s coworkers showing up with his cruiser for some great shots after dark!
