Today we’re excited to share some beautiful wedding photography from Richa + Vishal’s wedding at Claireport Place in Brampton!
It’s here! The big post that we’ve been warning you about teasing you with has arrived… and a whole day early, at that!
Wow. What an incredibly colourful, crazy and fun week it was! Richa + Vishal got married on the last day of May in some of the most gorgeous weather I can remember shooting in. After having celebrated all week long at their sangeet and mehendi, they finally made it all official with a beautiful, traditional Hindu wedding at Claireport Place, an immaculate wedding venue in Brampton.
Vishal rode in on a white horse, while Richa looked stunning in her red sari, decked with bling! Not only that, but they had a second outfit for the evening that looked just as amazing! After Vishal rode up to the ceremony, he was greeted with dancing and drumming by all of his family and Richa’s family… as well as a couple hundred guests! They proceeded inside for a nice breakfast while Richa got the finishing touches applied and made her way to the venue.
Having never done any Indian wedding photography before, this was a new experience for me. And with Kara on maternity leave, we brought our good friend Brian – who is a fantastic photographer in his own right – along to second shoot and run our photo booth. Once the ceremony got rolling we had almost three full hours to get as many pictures as we could of the gorgeous colours and rituals that go into a Hindu ceremony. What an incredible experience it was to be a part of it!
After the ceremony we had a brief lunch and then took off to get some pictures with the newlyweds. We started at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Toronto, which is one of the most beautiful buildings I’ve seen in Canada. Seriously, everything that could be carved was hand-carved. Insane!
After the temple we headed off to the Dairy Queen where Richa + Vishal had their first date. Also, there may have been a bit of an ulterior motive in visiting Dairy Queen on a hot day. Just saying. After Dairy Queen, our bride & groom changed into their evening outfits and we headed to the Humber Arboretum to get a few shots as the sun was setting.
With the pictures finished, we headed back to Claireport Place, which in the mean time had been absolutely transformed by the creative geniuses at Dulhan Mandap into one of the most beautiful receptions we’ve ever experienced! As you’ll soon see, these guys really outdid themselves!
And so, with help from Double AA DJs, we partied into the night, with dancing, food, our always popular photo booth, and even an incredible same-day edit by the very talented videographers at Outside In Studio.
With so much to explain and type out, you’d better believe that this wedding post is going to be one of the longest we’ve ever produced. Enjoy some of the highlights below… we know that we sure did!
